The Santa Cruz Guitar Company is an American manufacturer of acoustic guitars, located in Santa Cruz, California. Santa Cruz Guitar Company is a true custom shop. Its small team of seventeen dedicated luthiers build approximately 400 custom instruments a year, working with sustainably harvested and salvaged wood of the highest quality, thanks to founder Richard Hoover's unwavering commitment to protecting our natural resources. This includes some of the rarest, salvaged woods available, ranging from 100 to 45,000 years old. Each guitar is ordered individually by the dealer or player for specific tonal, aesthetic and playability needs.
